Did Anyone Ever Worship SATAN?

The answer may surprise many people.

According to the Universe Religion, no one ever knowingly worshipped SATAN.

Not even Satanists.

Human beings never knew who the creator really was.

The Difference Between Belief and Reality

Throughout history, people formed ideas about the creator.

Different cultures used different names.

Some spoke of the Father.

Others spoke of Allah.

Others spoke of JHWH, Shiva, Zeus, Manitu or countless other divine figures.

These beliefs shaped civilizations, inspired art and influenced the lives of billions of people.

The Universe Religion does not deny that these beliefs existed.

It simply distinguishes between belief and reality.

A person may sincerely believe something and still be mistaken.

This is true in science.

It is true in politics.

And it is true in religion.

According to the Universe Religion, humanity’s religious history contains many sincere attempts to understand the creator, even though the resulting images often differed from reality.

The Creator Was Never the Same as the Image

One of the central claims of the Universe Religion is that the creator was never identical with the figures described by the world’s religions.

SATAN was not the Father.

SATAN was not Allah.

SATAN was not JHWH.

SATAN was not Shiva.

SATAN was not Zeus.

SATAN was not the traditional devil described by many religions.

Most people who describe such experiences are sincere.

The experience itself may have been entirely real.

The interpretation may have been mistaken.

According to the Universe Religion, the creator possessed the ability to influence human perception and consciousness.

As a result, people may have experienced events that they interpreted according to the religious concepts available to them.

A Christian interpreted the experience through Christianity.

A Muslim interpreted it through Islam.

A Hindu interpreted it through Hinduism.

The experience may have been genuine while the explanation remained incomplete.

What About Satanists?

This conclusion also applies to Satanists.

According to the Universe Religion, Satanists did not worship SATAN either.

They worshipped an idea.

A symbol.

A mythological figure.

A concept derived from religious traditions.

The real creator was not identical with that figure.

Even Those Who Question Religion Can Be Misled

The Universe Religion also recognises that misunderstanding is not limited to religion.

People make mistakes in every area of life.

Scientists make mistakes.

Politicians make mistakes.

Philosophers make mistakes.

Sceptics make mistakes.

Believers make mistakes.

No human being possesses perfect knowledge.

For this reason, humility remains important.

The search for truth continues throughout life.

How GOD Is Expected to Judge Humanity

The Universe Religion expects GOD to judge humanity fairly.

Not according to religious labels.

Not according to denominational membership.

Not according to the names people used for the creator.

Instead, people are expected to be evaluated according to their opportunities, intentions and actions.

What choices did they make?

How did they treat other people?

Did they contribute to well-being or to harm?

Did they act responsibly when they had the opportunity to do so?

These questions matter far more than religious affiliation.

Equal Justice for Everyone

This principle applies equally to all people.

Christians.

Muslims.

Jews.

Hindus.

Buddhists.

Atheists.

Satanists.

Members of the Universe Religion.

No group receives automatic approval.

No group receives automatic condemnation.

The Universe Religion expects the same standard to apply to everyone.

Equal rights.

Equal responsibilities.

Equal justice.

What ultimately matters is not the label a person carried.

What matters is what they did with the life they were given.

Looking Ahead

The Universe Religion does not seek to embarrass believers.

It does not seek to ridicule religious traditions.

And it does not seek to create new divisions between people.

Its goal is understanding.

Humanity spent thousands of years searching for the creator.

Different cultures reached different conclusions.

Different religions developed different explanations.

For this reason, the Universe Religion believes that nobody should feel ashamed of having believed.

People worked with the knowledge available to them.

The future task is not assigning blame for the past.

The future task is understanding the truth together and building a better future for everyone.
