How Did Life Begin?

The origin of life remains one of the most fascinating questions humanity has ever asked.

The Creator as a Biological Architect

The Universe Religion does not describe the creator as a magician producing finished organisms instantly.

Instead, it portrays the creator as something closer to a biological architect working within the possibilities offered by nature.

Just as an architect works with materials rather than ignoring the laws of physics, the creator works within biological systems rather than outside them.

Creation therefore becomes an exercise in development rather than command.

A painting may consist of countless individual brushstrokes, yet most people still recognise the presence of a painter.

Likewise, the Universe Religion views biological evolution as a genuine process while also proposing the presence of a guiding creative intelligence behind that process.

The Emergence of Complexity

Adaptation, mutation and natural selection undoubtedly play important roles in evolutionary development.

The Universe Religion fully acknowledges their significance.

The question is whether these mechanisms alone are sufficient to explain the emergence of highly sophisticated biological systems.

Development takes time.

Experimentation takes time.

The creator itself is understood as having developed through experience and discovery.

The history of life is not only the history of living organisms.

It is also part of the history of the creator’s relationship with creation.
