Yet many readers may naturally ask a simple question:

What exactly is the spirit?

The answer differs significantly from the explanations offered by most traditional religions.

The One-Spirit Truth

At the heart of the Universe Religion lies a concept known as the One-Spirit Truth.

According to this idea, there is only one spirit.

Throughout history, humanity has interpreted this underlying reality through many different religious traditions, mythologies and philosophical systems.

Different cultures gave it different names.

Different religions developed different stories.

Different civilisations created different images of divine reality.

The Universe Religion proposes that these traditions may ultimately represent humanity’s attempts to understand the same underlying phenomenon from different historical and cultural perspectives.

The Spirit as a Neural Network of Consciousness

The spirit is not understood as a human-like being living somewhere above the clouds.

Nor is it understood as a distant ruler sitting on a celestial throne.

Instead, the Universe Religion describes the spirit as a vast network of consciousness extending throughout the universe.

According to this model, the spirit consists of unimaginably many tiny units that I refer to as spirit-pixels.

A single pixel is not conscious.

Just as a single neuron in the human brain does not possess a complete personality, a single spirit-pixel does not possess a complete consciousness.

Consciousness emerges through the interaction of countless pixels organised as a vast neural network spanning the universe.

This network structure explains why the spirit is capable of perception, memory, communication and intelligent action.

The spirit is therefore not imagined as a magical being.

It is understood as a form of consciousness operating through an immense network of interconnected units.

Why the Spirit Can Act

If the spirit consists of a network of countless pixels, another question naturally follows:

How can it influence reality?

The Universe Religion proposes that the spirit possesses direct influence over its own constituent pixels.

A useful comparison may be the human body.

Most people do not consciously control every individual cell in their hand. Yet they can still move their fingers whenever they choose.

In a similar way, the spirit is understood to possess direct influence over the pixels that constitute its own network.

This idea forms the basis for how the Universe Religion explains communication, perception and creative activity within the universe.

It also provides the foundation for later discussions concerning the origin of galaxies, the emergence of life and the nature of dreams.

Spirit and Creator Are Not the Same Thing

One of the most important distinctions within the Universe Religion is the difference between the spirit and the creator.

The Universe Religion does not treat them as identical.

The spirit refers to the underlying conscious reality itself.

The creator refers to the active ego-state operating within that reality.

They are different ego-states of the same spirit.

Beyond Heaven and Hell

Nor does the model require a permanent heaven or hell as destinations for humanity.

The spirit is understood as part of reality itself rather than something existing outside it.

For this reason, the future relationship between humanity and GOD is not envisioned primarily as a relationship of distance, fear or submission.

Instead, it is envisioned as a relationship based on communication, responsibility, cooperation and mutual development.

In this sense, the Universe Religion seeks a relationship with the creator that is closer to partnership than hierarchy.

Why the Spirit Matters

The question of the spirit is not merely a theoretical curiosity.

It influences how we understand ourselves.

If consciousness is fundamental to reality, then questions concerning meaning, responsibility, ethics and civilisation take on a different significance.

The Universe Religion therefore begins not with institutions, rituals or doctrines, but with a question:

The deepest reality is not matter alone.
