What moves Maik Endener – Episode 3: Why I Use Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence has become one of the most discussed technologies of our time.

Some people are enthusiastic about it.

Others are skeptical.

Many are somewhere in between.

Because I use artificial intelligence extensively in my work, I would like to explain why I do so and how I view its role within the Universe Religion project.

My First Experiments with AI

I began experimenting with modern AI systems around 2023.

Like many people, I was initially curious.

What could these systems actually do?

What were their strengths?

What were their limitations?

Over time, my curiosity developed into something more practical.

I realised that artificial intelligence was not simply another software tool. It represented a new way of interacting with information, language and knowledge.

Since then, I have worked with a variety of AI models, including both cloud-based and locally running systems.

I expect artificial intelligence to become an increasingly important part of my daily work in the years ahead.

I Am Not Interested in Intellectual Vanity

One reason I use AI is perhaps unusual.

I am not particularly interested in proving how much I can accomplish alone.

The image of the isolated genius creating everything without assistance has never appealed to me.

My goal is not personal admiration.

My goal is to contribute to something larger than myself.

If a tool helps me communicate more clearly, work more efficiently and improve the quality of my work, I see no reason to reject it simply because it is new.

Throughout history, people have adopted new tools when those tools allowed them to achieve worthwhile goals more effectively.

I see artificial intelligence in the same light.

The Problem I Care About

The motivation behind my work is not technology itself.

It is humanity.

Around the world, people continue to struggle with war, poverty, corruption, loneliness, ignorance and unnecessary suffering.

I cannot solve these problems personally.

I cannot build every house that is needed.

I cannot educate every child.

I cannot mediate every conflict.

But ideas can travel further than hands.

Books can reach people I will never meet.

Websites can reach people on different continents.

Institutions can outlive their founders.

This is one reason why I invest so much time in writing, publishing and developing the ideas behind the Universe Religion.

Why AI Matters

Artificial intelligence helps me work more effectively.

It assists with:

• brainstorming and idea development,
• editing and proofreading,
• language refinement,
• structural planning,
• research support,
• translation assistance,
• image creation,
• and quality assurance.

Like any tool, it must be used responsibly.

But when used well, it allows me to spend less time on repetitive tasks and more time on the ideas themselves.

AI does not replace thinking.

It helps accelerate parts of the process surrounding thinking.

AI Across the Universe Religion Project

Artificial intelligence already supports several aspects of this project.

Many website translations are initially generated with the assistance of AI and then manually reviewed and improved.

Images may be created or refined using AI-based tools.

Forum moderation and translation increasingly benefit from AI assistance.

In the future, I expect AI to play an even larger role.

One of my goals is to provide an intelligent assistant capable of answering questions about the Universe Religion and the content published on this website.

Such a system would make knowledge more accessible while helping visitors navigate a growing body of material.

Responsibility Remains Human

Despite all these possibilities, one principle remains unchanged.

Responsibility remains human.

Artificial intelligence does not determine the worldview of the Universe Religion.

It does not define its philosophy.

It does not establish its values.

It does not make decisions on my behalf.

The ideas presented throughout this project remain my responsibility.

AI assists the process.

It does not replace the author.

Humanity and GOD

My interest in AI is ultimately connected to a larger vision.

I believe that humanity can build a more peaceful, transparent and harmonious civilization.

I also believe that the emergence of GOD, as envisioned by the Universe Religion, would contribute significantly to that process.

If a responsible tool can help accelerate work that may benefit humanity, then I believe it should be used responsibly rather than rejected out of habit or fear.

The same principle applies to any technology.

Its value depends on how it is used.

An Invitation

Artificial intelligence is not perfect.

Translations may occasionally contain errors.

Images may not always reflect the intended meaning.

Generated suggestions may require correction or refinement.

Looking Ahead

Artificial intelligence will almost certainly become more capable in the years ahead.

The important question is not whether we should use AI.

Use it in service of constructive goals.

And never forget that the ultimate responsibility remains human.
